The Philadelphia Trans Wellness Conference is happening this year on July 22 - 24, 2021, and it will be completely online. For those of you planning to attend, or for those of you who just want to work on voice, register for the “General Track” of the conference, and follow the conference directions on how to tune in. It’s FREE! This is a great opportunity to try some voice exercises and practice your voice with others who may be experiencing similar challenges as you. I hope to see you there!

Get loud in a more masculine voice, General Track C, Friday, July 23, 2021, 2:15 - 3:15 pm

Speaking loudly can be a challenge for anyone with any type of speaking voice. If you are aiming to use more masculine-perceived voice patterns, with or without testosterone, you may experience difficulty being loud or maintaining a lower pitch and a richer tone when being loud. This hands-on workshop takes you through exercises for loud speaking and yelling, including warm-up exercises to maximize the vocal instrument. We will also discuss strategies for speaking over noise, talking on Zoom, rescuing the voice if problems arise, and deeper breathing/voicing while binding. Join us and feel the power of your voice and your words! Binary and non-binary welcome.
